Goodbye Fern

This wonderful vehicle that I named ‘Fern’ has supported me with my camping adventures for the past 5 years. With her I was able to pack some fresh food and clothes and go wherever the wind would take me. We travelled the province from Fort St. John to Anahim Lake, to Salmon Arm. On Vancouver Island from Malcom Island to Port Renfrew to Sydney Spit.

Sadly

  • after 345,000 Klm
  • an engine that burned oil
  • a rusty hole in the drivers floor
  • and a failed clutch

I had to let her go and donated her to the Kidney Foundation.

I hadn’t quite realized how attached I had become to her.
